Dr. Ophyr Mourad is an Associate Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Toronto.  He is a Clinician Teacher with an interest in diagnostic dilemmas, mentorship and innovation in medial education.  He most recently led a grass roots initiative to redesign the GIM CTUs at the University of Toronto.  Dr. Mourad has held multiple previous leadership positions including the GIM Division Director at St. Michael’s Hospital for an 11 year term and GIM Program Director at the University of Toronto.

Dr. Mourad has been recognized for his teaching and mentorship, twice receiving a PARO [Professional Association of Residents of Ontario] award, the St.Michael’s Hospital Teacher of the Year Award, the Department of Medicine WT Aikins Faculty Teaching Award, the

University Of Toronto Department Of Medicine Mentorship Award, and the Department of Medicine Master Clinician Award.
